QUEBEC CITY, Feb. 10, 2011 — Gentec Electro-Optics has announced the Maestro laser power and energy monitor with fully touch-screen controls based on a 5.6-in. color LCD screen with 640 × 480-pixel resolution and 18-bit color. Ease of use is ensured by good accessibility to all the main functions, improving productivity in the lab. Data transfer and storage is done directly on a USB key, and the monitor is equipped with all necessary interfaces, including Ethernet, RS-232, analog output, external trigger and a USB port for sending serial commands via a PC. The device reads all detector types, including thermopile, photo and pyroelectric. Its ergonomic design permits handheld and tabletop use. Its intuitive user interface is easy to navigate and features single- or dual-graph display and a function search tool. Real-time statistical functions include maximum, minimum, average, standard deviation, root mean square and precision time protocol stability, pulse number, average power and repetition rate.
