CHESHAM, England, May 2, 2011 — Resolve Optics Ltd. designs and manufactures optimized custom optical systems for use in hostile environments where radiation, extremes of temperature and pressure, high levels of vibration and shock, or contact with corrosive liquids and gases would render standard products unusable.

For high-temperature environments, the company has developed optical systems that will operate at up to 950 °C without cooling. For radioactive environments, it offers custom lens systems and through-wall endoscopes that can withstand radiation doses of up to 100,000,000 rad without degradation of operation. For defense and aerospace applications, compact optical systems that combine high performance and resistance to dirt, moisture, constant vibration and shock are available.

The compact lenses offer high resolution, large apertures to ensure maximum use of the light available, wide fields of view with little or no distortion, and optical designs and coatings that are balanced for best functioning at a desired wavelength or wave band.
