LARNE, Northern Ireland, Dec. 29, 2011 — Raptor Photonics Ltd. has announced the release of the OW1.7-VS-CL-320 visible short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) camera. It features a Thales Alcatel 320 × 256-pixel, 30 × 30-μm pixel pitch, high-sensitivity InGaAs sensor with visible extension. The camera is Peltier-cooled, uses a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter and offers standard Camera Link output. Automatic gain control, image enhancement and built-in three-point nonuniformity correction facilitate ease of use. It captures images from 0.4 to 1.7 μm. The OWL camera is suitable for pulsed or continuous-wave laser beam profiling, semiconductor inspection, airborne hyperspectral imaging, active imaging and 1.55-μm laser line detection. It is supplied with powerful XCAP image analysis software and a standard EPIX Camera Link frame grabber. Features include operation to 60 Hz, 500-ns minimum exposure, and an ultracompact and rugged package measuring 50 × 50 × 82 mm.
