NESS ZIONA, Israel, Oct. 15, 2014 — Holo/Or offers a new series of beamsplitter diffractive optical elements optimized for 694-nm ruby lasers.

The beamsplitters are suitable for high-power lasers and provide divergence angle accuracy, flexibility in spot-array design and 70 to 80 percent efficiency.

Each of the generated spots preserves characteristics of the original beam. Standard 8×8 and 9×9 beamsplitters, as well as other 1-D or 2-D arrays and custom designs, are available.

An optical device for dividing a beam into two or more separate beams. A simple beamsplitter may be a very thin sheet of glass inserted in the beam at an angle to divert a portion of the beam in a different direction. A more sophisticated type consists of two right-angle prisms cemented together at their hypotenuse faces.
