SANTA ROSA, Calif., July 20, 2023 — The PathWave Advanced Design System 2024 electronic design automation software suite from Keysight Technologies Inc. offers capability for millimeter wave and subterahertz frequencies.

The software suite is designed to accelerate the design of 5G products and support the development of 6G wireless communications. This updated version includes faster 3D electromagnetic analysis with improved meshing and solvers, advanced layout and verification features, electrothermal enhancements for temperature validation, and expanded Python APIs for custom workflows. These enhancements address the challenges faced by chip designers in developing components for 5G and nonterrestrial networks including signal loss, complex packaging issues, power considerations, and co-design across multiple technologies.
