Version 5.3 of the MERLIC machine vision software from MVTec Software GmbH includes a deep learning, object-detection feature and enhanced user-friendliness for beginner and expert users.
A Find Object tool locates trained object classes and identifies them with a surrounding rectangle. Touching or partially overlapping objects are also separated, which allows for the counting of objects. Labeling and training are possible without programming knowledge, and the trained network can be loaded and used with a single click.
