The QSFP28 from Approved Networks is an O-band transceiver for high-speed data transmission for distances up to 25 km. Able to upgrade bandwidth to 100 G, when paired with a 16-channel DWDM mux/demux it becomes a solution that requires no power outside of the user’s switch and eliminates the need for additional components such as amplifiers. The QSFP28 allows for potential growth up to 1.6 Tb/s.
