PIN PHOTODIODE
Hamamatsu CorporationRequest Info
The G-9287-14 receiver optical subassembly (ROSA) launched by Hamamatsu Corp. is designed for 850-nm SDH and SONET applications. It has a 10-Gb/s response time to meet the bandwidth requirements of most fiber optic networks. Sensitivity is typically +2 to –12.5 dBm, and typical differential transimpedance is 5.5 k(omega) at 100 MHz. Photosensitivity is 0.45 A/W, typical, and optical return loss is 14 dB. A GaAs PIN photodiode with a preamplifier is integrated into a single housing to optimize performance. The device requires 3.3 V and operates from 0 to 70 °C. The standard 1.25-mm ROSA-type sleeve and five-pin package allow easy configuration into new designs, as well as enabling drop-in replacement for existing systems.
