Apr 1, 2005 — Carl Zeiss Jena has introduced its diode-array plane-grating spectrometers for the near-IR. The modules combine a collimator and focusing lens with a plane grating and, the company says, are thermally stable, robust and compact. Two versions are available. The PGS 1.7 is a 512-pixel InGaAs detector that operates from 960 to 1690 nm with 5-nm resolution, and the PGS 2.2 has 256 pixels and operates from 1100 to 2200 nm with 11-nm resolution.
