Protocol Aims to Standardize Raman Spectral Analysis
JENA, Germany, Dec. 23, 2021 — Artificial intelligence (AI) is used increasingly to process and analyze data collected through Raman spectroscopy. Chemometric techniques, which are data-driven and include spectral processing and statistical analysis, can be used to detect and extract information from subtle differences in Raman spectra. However, established standards for Raman spectral analysis have yet to exist. To maximize the value of AI analysis for spectral data, a research team from the Leibniz Institute for
NIRS and Chemometrics Offer Insights Into Earth’s Surface
Sep 29, 2017 — When applied to hyperspectral remote sensing images, the techniques of near-IR spectroscopy (NIRS) and multivariate chemometric calibrations, such as partial least squares regression, enable quantitative mapping of the properties of Earth’s...
Optical Sensors Watch What We Eat
Jun 1, 2013 — Optics technologies are advancing food safety applications. Natural pathogens. Food fraud and adulteration. Bioterrorism. Food safety is more of a concern today than it’s ever been before. Because the path from producer to consumer is...
