NEWTON, N.J., Sept. 27, 2013 — The OSA205 optical spectrum analyzer from Thorlabs Inc. operates in the mid-IR region from 1 to 5.6 µm to quickly measure unknown spectra. The device is based on a Michelson interferometer geometry and comes equipped with a stabilized 632.991-nm reference HeNe laser. It measures the spectral power of narrowband and broadband sources, delivering ±2 ppm accuracy and 1 ppm repeatability.
