Universal Display Receives $750,000 Grant
Dec 1, 2007 — The US Department of Energy has awarded Universal Display Corp. of Ewing, N.J., a $750,000 Small Business Innovation Research Phase II grant. The award will fund research to create a simpler white organic LED light source that will reduce manufacturing costs without compromising performance. The company hopes to design a device that will provide high color rendering as well as excellent power efficiency.
