Oct 1, 2006 — The TruPulse solid-state pulsed laser has been introduced by Trumpf Inc. for use in the manufacture of automotive sensors, actuators and fuel-injection components. A burst function briefly allows the average power to be exceeded and increases the pulse frequency, reducing the welding cycle. Maximum mean power, pulse energy, focus and beam quality can be adjusted, and a removable touch-screen control panel simplifies the setting of output parameters.
