Developing Frequency Filters
Structured Materials Industries Inc. of Piscataway, N.J., has received Phase II funding from the US Army Research Office. The award, worth $750,000, will enable the company to develop a class of compact, efficient, voltage-tunable radio frequency filters for use up to the K
a band (26 to 40 GHz). The device could be used in military and data, radar and civilian communications systems.
