Ultrashort-Pulse Amplifier
!%EdgeWave GmbH%! has released the Innoslab ultrashort-pulse IS10I-A amplifier with an average power of 100 W. The device features a circular Gaussian beam with M
2 <1.5, a line-shaped one-dimensional Top-Hat with M
2 <2 and square two-dimensional Top-Hat with M
2 <2. It delivers pulse energy up to 1 mJ, an input power of 2 W, a 100-W output power and an optical efficiency of 50 per cent. Applications include precision micromaterials processing, cutting, drilling and rapid tooling; ablation of thin metallic and dielectric layers; scribing of thin-film solar cells; and structuring of silicon wafer solar cells.
