TerraLux Receives $5.6M in Funding
TerraLux Inc. announced that it has closed a $5.6 million Series A venture capital financing deal. The round was led by Emerald Technology Ventures, with participation from existing investor Access Venture Partners.
TerraLux said the capital will be used to accelerate its growth in all segments of the business, with a focus on its rapidly expanding commercial general illumination products and LED modules.
TerraLux manufactures high-power LED OEM solutions for general lighting as well as for the industrial, commercial, medical and retail markets. It produces LED embedded light modules to replace incandescent lightbulbs in commercial lighting as well as in many flashlights and lighting tools.
Founded in 2000, Emerald Technology Ventures has managed three venture capital funds and two venture capital portfolio mandates totaling more than $440 million. Access Venture Partners invests in businesses in the clean technology, SaaS (Software as a Service), SaaS infrastructure, data integrity and new media sectors.
