Heraeus Noblelight Purchases Fusion UV Systems
Heraeus Noblelight, a unit of Heraeus Holding GmbH, completed the acquisition of Fusion UV Systems Inc. on Jan. 31.
The purchase comes about a month and a half after Spectris plc signed an agreement to sell the Gaithersburg, Md., UV light source business group to Heraeus Noblelight for $172 million. (See:

Under the transaction, Fusion UV Systems will operate under the Heraeus technology group umbrella, with the two companies integrating into a single business unit over the coming months, David Harbourne, president of Fusion UV Systems, said in a letter to customers.
