NexOptic to Pursue Licensing Partners
Optics developer NexOptic Technology Corp. will soon be looking for licensing partners for a patent-pending lens technology.
The company said it expects to complete its first proof-of-concept lens prototype in August, with the device geared toward the telescope market. Other applications include cameras, binoculars, computer gaming, graphics, medical imaging and mobile phones.
Ideal licensing partners are “leaders in the space” in their respective categories, said Paul McKenzie, president and CEO of NexOptic.
NexOptic, formerly Elissa Resources, signed an agreement in November of 2014 with Calgary-based Spectrum Optix for the development of its Blade Optics lens and light capture technologies. NexOptic says a full acquisition is expected in November 2017.
