Sales and Marketing — Two Sides of the Same Coin.

Matthew Beebe, Matt.Beebe@Photonics.com

If you had an unlimited advertising budget, what would you say in your advertising campaign? It would probably sound something like your company’s best sales pitch.

The entire purpose of an advertising campaign is to increase sales, so why not think of your advertising campaign as your best salesperson? All of your best talking points should be included so that your ad will generate interest.

On the flip side, your sales pitch should reflect your marketing in its simplicity and brevity. You wouldn’t fill your advertisement with something like your company history, so why bother with that in your sales pitch? Our company was founded in 1954, and guess what? NOBODY CARES! It’s all about what you can do for the customer right here and now.

Once you think you have your content ready, download our checklist: Seven Steps to Create the Perfect Advertisement.
