StockerYale Inc., a Salem, N.H., provider of advanced illumination and optical products, announced that its subsidiary, StockerYale Asia PTE Ltd., of Singapore, has received an order valued at $659,000 for the delivery of an integrated machine vision system solution that incorporates hardware and software for an imaging management application. The order -- StockerYale Asia's largest single order to date -- was placed by a Malaysian R&D facilities established in early 2003 as the result of a collaborative effort between a US-based multinational company and the Malaysian government. . . . Fred J. Leonberger has joined the advisory board of OmniGuide Communications Inc., a Cambridge, Mass.-based company developing hollow-core cylindrical photonic bandgap optical fibers. Leonberger was senior vice president and CTO of optical components supplier JDS Uniphase Corp. from 1999 until his retirement in June 2003. He is the principal of EOvation Technologies LLC, a technology advisory firm. . . . SEMI, a trade association serving the semiconductor and flat-panel display equipment and materials markets, has published 25 new technical standards applicable to those industries.
