IDS Appoints UK Sales Director
IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH has named machine vision market veteran Steve Hearn as its new UK sales director, the industrial camera maker said this week.
Hearn has more than 30 years of experience in the camera and machine vision market, most recently as head of UK sales and product manager for IDS cameras at Stemmer Imaging UK. He has also held management positions at Pulnix and Sony and spent the first 10 years of his career as a radar and CCTV engineer in the Royal Navy.
“He brings a great range of experience and analytical skills to the team,” IDS CEO Torsten Wiesinger said of Hearn. “With his in-depth knowledge of the UK's machine market, we see an excellent opportunity to grow and expand business in this region.”
Hearn will be based near Reading, England.
