UTA’s Makeev Awarded $1.5M in ONR Grants for Materials Research

ARLINGTON, Texas, June 2, 2018 — Andrew Makeev at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) has received two U.S. Office of Naval Research (ONR) grants worth nearly $1.5 million that will further enhance the Advanced Materials and Structures Lab's (AMSL) national standing and capabilities. A $542,937 Defense University Research Instrumentation Program (DURIP) grant will upgrade UTA's computed tomography (CT) facilities to enable high-resolution, in situ, 3D material characterization.
