Pregius USB 3.0 CamerasXimea GmbH has announced USB 3.0 camera models the Sony CMOS Pregius sensors.

The xiC models offer 3.1 MP at 122 fps, with the IMX250 models offering 5 MP at 76 fps. All Pregius cameras feature global shutter and are able to supply 8-, 10- or 12-bit high-quality pictures with dynamic range of  >70 dB, low noise, high light sensitivity and ideal color reproduction. A small form factor of 26 × 26 × 33 mm and weight of 38 g are featured. Power requirements are as low as 3 W, allowing the cameras to be bus-powered directly through the USB 3.0 cable.

More models are expected to join the existing family.
