EVT Eye Vision Technology GmbH and FocalSpec Ltd. have announced a system for the inspection of surface-mount device (SMD) parts.
On the images taken with the FocalSpec sensor, the EyeVision software inspects the pins on SMD component parts. A perfect image of pin height can be captured. Soldering paste can also be inspected.
The ChipControl command set of the EyeVision software has been enhanced with the proper image capture element, providing inspection for already assembled components.
