About the panel:
Darcy BachertDarcy Bachert is the founder and CEO of Prolucid Technologies Inc., an A3-certified systems integrator that specializes in software commercialization for imaging, machine learning, and connected applications, including web, mobile, and desktop interfaces. Bachert graduated from Western University with a degree in software engineering. In addition, he holds a professional engineer (P. Eng.) designation from Professional Engineers Ontario, representing high standards of engineering excellence, skills and experience, and professionalism.

Tom BrennanTom Brennan is president and founder of Artemis Vision, which builds repeatable, tested machine vision systems for automated quality control and optimization for manufacturing and logistics. As an A3 Advanced Level Certified Vision Professional, he has been working in the industrial machine vision and imaging processing software market for the past 11 years. He has successfully delivered numerous industrial machine vision systems for industries from medical to automotive to defense. Brennan got his start in the vision industry designing machine vision vehicle detection algorithms as a research effort for the DARPA Urban Challenge, and he holds a BSE in computer science from Princeton University.

David L. DechowDavid L. Dechow is a globally recognized expert in the integration of machine vision, robotics, and industrial automation technologies. He is the principal vision systems architect for Integro Technologies Corp., where he works with sales and engineering teams in the application, evaluation, and design of complex automated inspection solutions. Prior to his position at Integro, he was staff engineer for Intelligent Robotics/Machine Vision at FANUC. Prior to FANUC, Dechow was the founder, owner, and principal engineer for two successful systems integration firms. Dechow is a recipient of the A3 Automated Imaging Achievement Award, which honors industry leaders for outstanding career contributions in industrial and/or scientific imaging. He is a member of the A3 board of directors and a member of the American Society of Manufacturing Engineers (ASME) Robotics Technology Advisory Panel.

Steve WardellSteve Wardell is director of imaging at ATS Automation. His more than 30 years of experience with the company have allowed him to be part of many exciting opportunities. With a bachelor's degree in math and computer science, he started out as a control systems programmer and then took on more responsibility through various increased leadership roles within ATS' controls and vision engineering groups. He has helped to produce hundreds of fascinating and successful automation projects over the years. He is currently responsible for ATS' Vision Engineering group, which is a team of specialized vision engineers providing all machine vision system designs for ATS customers' automation solutions. He is also highly involved in serving the machine vision industry as a whole. Wardell is the current chair of the board of A3.
