Request InfoSynopsys Inc., Optical Solutions GroupLightTools version 3.2 from Optical Research Associates has enhanced modeling and analysis capabilities for backlit displays used in automotive instrument clusters and in LCD panels in computers, cell phones and PDAs. The software can simulate the scattering of light throughout the volume of a material, rather than just on its surface. Materials can be modeled as Mie scatterers or with a user-defined function. The absorption characteristics of a material can be specified as a function of wavelength. The company says it produces an accurate RGB output display for a model.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics.com 2/12/2024Large Object 3D ScannerThe RANGE 2 from Revopoint 3D is a 3D scanner meant for capturing scans of large objects in quality control, reverse engineering, automobile modification, and prototyping applications.
