General Photonics Corp.General Photonics says its PCS-1000 polarization scrambler uses all-fiber technology to effectively randomize polarization states, providing low insertion loss and backreflection, no wavelength dependency and low residual phase modulation. The device removes the measurement uncertainties when testing a device's polarization sensitivity. Scrambling the state of polarization suppresses performance degradation from polarization-dependent gain in optical amplifiers. Polarization scrambling also can be used to facilitate and simplify polarization mode dispersion emulation.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPromoted Content October 2022 IssueMaximize Your Optical Fiber InvestmentWhen requiring spools of optical fiber for network simulation and optical time delay applications, Fiber Lab solutions provide the most efficient and organized approach while delivering consistent...Photonics Showcase June 2023 IssuePhotonic Crystal FibersA new product family of broadband Photonic Crystal Fibers (PCFs) is launched by Schäfter+Kirchhoff.
