Request InfoAmes Photonics IncTwo compact spectral calibration lamps designed for testing spectrometers that have linear CCD, CMOS and InGaAs detectors have been released by Ames Photonics Inc. The mercury lamp produces strong lines from 254 to 578 nm, while the argon lamp has lines from 700 to 960 nm. The second- and third-order Hg lines can calibrate in the near-IR, and the second-order Ar lines cover the InGaAs response range of 800 to 1700 nm. The Ar lamp also incorporates a 600-nm long-pass filter to block short-wave buffer gas lines. The company says that these low-pressure lamps produce narrow lines of an intensity...See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPromoted Content October 2023 IssueOrder Sorting FiltersWhen the spectrum of a spectrometer covers more than one octave, the multiple orders from the grating make interpretation of the detected spectrum difficult.
