General Photonics Corp.General Photonics says its PCS-1000 polarization scrambler uses all-fiber technology to effectively randomize polarization states, providing low insertion loss and backreflection, no wavelength dependency and low residual phase modulation. The device removes the measurement uncertainties when testing a device's polarization sensitivity. Scrambling the state of polarization suppresses performance degradation from polarization-dependent gain in optical amplifiers. Polarization scrambling also can be used to facilitate and simplify polarization mode dispersion emulation.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics Showcase January 2024 IssuePolarization AnalyzerThe polarization analyzer series SK010PA is a compact, comprehensive, universal USB 2.0 measurement and test system for free beam applications and laser beam sources with polarization-maintaining...Photonics.com 10/18/2022Fiber Connector Cleaning ToolThe Sticklers™ Pro360™ Touchless Cleaner from MicroCare LLC allows fiber optic technicians to quickly and effectively clean their fiber connectors.
