New Algorithms Improve Lensless Microscopes
ST. PETERSBURG, Russia, and TAMPERE, Finland, Aug. 15, 2017 — Using special algorithms scientists have significantly improved computational imaging of the optical signal in lensless microscopes. The algorithms not only generate the image, but also improve the optical signal, making it possible to obtain images with higher resolution using only mathematical methods, without any physical change to the microscope.
